My commitments
Your help is most welcome!
Through your donation, you can support my various commitments:
I° The beautiful library
Help me find and repair old books, set up and organize the “Belle Bibliothèque”
II° Support for street animals, animal shelters, reforestation and respect for ecosystems
In April 2020, I launched a collection action to help the Colombian population in terms of food in the face of severe and long lockdowns that were not tenable in an economy often daily and informal. I volunteer for a small neighbourhood foundation in Colombia, which does not receive any help and tries to do the maximun with what they have. I organize the interventions, have built a shelter and pay about 20% of my income to keep this commitment afloat.
In addition, we have had to deal with many abandoned street animals since 2020, animals that we have fed, cared for, hosted for some, without ever breaking our commitment to feed them every day until 2023, and up to 300 street animals (dogs and cats) at our expense, including their veterinary care.
Since 2020, we have built two shelters, with about sixty animals, which we recover, with all the worries we face, these animals have suffered different traumas and been abandoned.
In recent years, the first half of 2021 was particularly heavy, with 2.5 months of general strike at the national level, following restrictions, lockdowns and other political measures, having resulted in an economic disaster difficult to deal with (and little media coverage), we had to face inflation (from 10 to 110% of prices), and shortages. We had to deal with cases of child malnutrition, one of which led to death at the time of intubation of the child at the clinic.
Some brands of dog and cat food are no longer available, and prices have tripled or even quadrupled since 2020, for food and certain medicines.
We are therefore prioritizing the livelihood of the two shelters since 2023.
Today, people continue to abandon their animals, we need to proceed with their fitness, as well as rapid sterilisation, for which we also need funds. And this, not to mention surgical interventions. We make choices to keep some animals at home, helping their masters with feeding bags.
We want to resume feeding street animals as soon as possible, and continue to help people on the food front, as a priority for:
- Single and unemployed mothers,
- Children,
- Persons with disabilities,
- Old people without pensions
There are also personalized sponsorships, for example to finance the studies of people in difficulty (single mothers, young people without resources, etc.), or simply improve their daily lives. For example, Viviana was able to complete her nursing assistant studies and find work, then Leidy, a single mother with children, was able to secure her home by installing windows, or Mileydis, a young disabled teenager, was able to buy his braces and benefit from the necessary surgeries.
We also have a commitment to nature, more than 5,000 trees were planted since 2015 for reforestation, transmission via workshops to schools on the importance of ecological conservation (waste treatment, organic farming, etc.), relations with the Kogis Indians for the respect of the ecosystem. In this regard, I have translated the book by Lucas Buchholz ....
I give conferences on the theme and I have interests in the Colombian territory with local foundations invested in the preservation of ecosystems and literacy of some children of the Kogis Indians at the request of the Mamos (Elders within the Kogis Indian community)
Any help, even minimal, is part of the concrete solidarity, in a virtuous circle.

Thank you for your help, whatever it may be, a little nothing is a huge whole for us, and the little helpers make the bed of the big rivers.
Your help helps to show hope, and to stem poverty, malnutrition and lack of care due to lack of means, funds and resources.
Thanks to your donations in 2021 and 2022, we have achieved miracles.
