Philosophical, historical and literary stay in Tuscany

This one-week stay is an invitation to experience from within each of us what is happening today on our planet, and to transmute this collective reality through love, the wisdom of the Ancients and the knowledge , by re-borrowing the humanist paths of Tradition.

In this first journey of a series entitled " Le fil d'Ariane " in the company of the philosopher, we will study how, through the extraordinary story of her dynasty family, les Girolami-Cortona, we are subject to this eternal repetition of cycles, and what personal lessons (philosophical and spiritual) we can draw from it.

The story of Ariadne's ancestors embodies, at the microcosmic level, what we experience today at the macrocosmic level, also from the angle of resistance. One of Ariane Bilheran's ancestors, Saint Zanobi (Zenobe), pushed back the Barbarians in Florence and became its first bishop. We will dive into the ancient aristocratic families of Florence, the epic of the Medici, behind the scenes of power and its violent internal excesses, the philosophy of power with Machiavelli.

We will also go to Cortona and Siena, to meet characters who had high lives and European influence, even beyond, to find spiritual, cultural and philosophical roots in the Mediterranean cradle, drawing our inspiration in particular from Homer , Virgil, Boethius, Dante, Pythagoras, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Marsilius Ficino, etc.

Ariane Bilheran, in the company of Lucie Leca, cultural and historical mediator, will explain to us how the journey of her ancestors is a reflection of our personal initiatory path, and invites us to question ourselves on the best way to free ourselves from totalitarian drift. inside us, as well as outside.

" In the texts, we will study the five ages of Humanity in the Works and Days of Hesiod, the ancient myths, the Aeneid of Virgil which refers us to the Illiad and to the Odyssey of the poet Homer. We are going to talk about the great transmission work of Dante and the Divine Comedy. We are going to see how humanism is transmitted through the dark ages of history, in particular at the end of cycles ”, explains Ariane Bilheran.

What do our Elders have to teach us and pass on to us about the human soul?

Through this week-long immersion in Florence and Tuscany, “ the happiest region of intelligence ” ( according to the philosopher André Suarès), we will immerse ourselves in this cradle of the spiritual alliance between East and West, between poetic recitations, sweet life, pasta and gelati (pasta and ice cream), philosophical readings, humor and joie de vivre!
